I just came across a great site and wanted to let you know about it. The Global Debates – www.theglobaldebates.org – is an educational campaign to inspire young people to be active on the global issues that will shape our future.

IDEA in cooperation with UNF and NFL is organizing a great program for high school students called the Global Debates where students around the country and the world will be debating how to tackle issues with international migration during this upcoming school year. Moreover they will take action in order to show that it’s not only about talking but also going. College students can send in proposals to organize a TPS campaign on their campus and receive a small mini grant to help fund their activities.

There’s lots of ways for you to make your voice heard and to interact with other people who share your passion for global issues. The blog features daily posts on current events, stories about what student activists are doing around the world, and ideas and tips to help people take action and get more involved.
