Welcome to The Global Debates, a community of young people who are passionate about global issues. Here, you can exchange ideas and perspectives with other youth from around the world and learn how you can make a difference on global issues ranging from poverty to climate change and international migration.

We are a group of young people who believe that the current affairs are our common shared responsibility. We believe that it’s not just world leaders and elected officials who can make a difference but it’s the  students and educators who are instrumental to make this change by activating their peers and communities to take action. The Global Debates was initiated by the United Nations Foundation.  Nowadays the Global Debates are run by the International Debate Education Association (IDEA) in partnership with the National Forensic League (NFL) and United Nations Foundations. Since it began in 2003, there have been more than 70,000 TPS activities reaching young people across the world.
